29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c):    At the Savers Farm Subdivision, Lot 61, County Road 302, Jackson, MO construction site, the excavation was not protected according to the requirements of the standard, during work, such as application of waterproofing to the exterior basement walls.

29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury:    At the Savers Farm Subdivision, Lot 61, County Road 302, Jackson, MO construction site, where an excavation had been dug for pouring of a concrete basement, and where subsequent exposure existed, such as during application of exterior basement wall waterproofing, training had not been provided for protection when working within an excavation, including, but not limited to, soil classification types, required dimensions for benching or sloping depending on soil classification, spoil pile placement, signs of excavation compromise and collapse, affects of previous soil disturbance, and affects of heavy equipment on an excavation.    Abatement documentation is required for this violation.
