29 CFR 1910.1025(h)(1): All surfaces were not maintained as free as practicable of accumulations of lead: a) Armory; Gun lockers had surface lead contamination. This exposes employees to potential lead ingestion hazards. *Please note that surfaces (other than glass or metal) are porous and gritty scrubbing cleaners (examples are Soft Scrub, Comet or Ajax) are sometimes needed to fully decontaminate the area from surface lead contamination. The U.S Customs and Border Protection was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1207009, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on March 21, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at Sumas, Washington.
