29 CFR 1926.28(a): The employer did not require the wearing of appropriate personal protective equipment in all operations where there is an exposure to hazardous conditions: a) Naval Air Station Oceana Airfield: On or about 07/11/2017, employees required and mixed Pro-Poxy P606 Parts A&B with an electric paddle, were not provided appropriate personal protective equipment, such as goggles, face-shield or safety glasses with side-shields as referenced by 1926.102, exposing employees to potential eye injury. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
