29 CFR 1910.184(e)(1): Alloy steel sling(s) did not have permanently affixed durable identification stating size, grade, rated capacity, and reach: a. This violation was discovered on July 24, 2017, on the north end of the shop; where the employer did not ensure that four (4) alloy steel chain slings attached to two (2) 10-ton overhead cranes had permanently affixed tags stating size, grade, rated capacity, and reach. b. This violation was discovered on July 24, 2017, on the south end of the shop; where the employer did not ensure that four (4) alloy steel chain slings attached to two (2) 20-ton overhead cranes had permanently affixed tags stating size, grade, rated capacity, and reach. c. This violation was discovered on July 24, 2017, in the paint area on the east end of the shop; where the employer did not ensure that one (1) alloy steel chain slings attached to one (1) 10-ton overhead crane had permanently affixed tags stating size, grade, rated capacity, and reach.
