29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladder was used for purposes other than the purpose for which it were designed: On or about July 10, 2017; at the establishment: an employee was observed using a ladder for purposed for which it was not designed for. The employee was using an A-frame step-ladder propped up against the building to gain higher access to paint the wall. The employee was exposed to a fall hazard.

29 CFR 1926.1060(a)(1): 1926.1060(a)(1): The employer did not ensure that each employee was trained by a competent person which would enable each employee to recognize hazards related to ladders and stairs, and the procedures to follow to minimize those hazards. On or about July 10. 2017, at the establishment; an employee was using a ladder in a manner it was not designed for. As the employee stated, he had not received training on the safe use of ladders.
