29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1): Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries: Bowen Complex yard: On or about July 18, 2017, It was observed that two portable fire extinguishers were not properly mounted, located and identified in the following instances. This condition exposed employees to fire hazards. a) Mechanic shop: the fire extinguisher was on floor between a break machine and a cutoff saw and was not readily accessible. b) Equipment and supply warehouse: the fire extinguisher was on pole base surrounded by material and equipment and was not readily accessible.
