29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): Jobsite: The employees who were working on the gazebo roof were not protected from fall hazards by the use of guardrails, safety nets and/or personal fall arrest systems. On or about 07/19/2017, one of employees fell from the roof while performing residential construction activities and suffered a pneumothorax and a broken hip from the incident. The employee was transported to a local hospital. NGA Restoration, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard 29 CFR1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA Inspection Number1186571, Citation Number 2, Item Number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 02/08/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 100 Golf Drive, East Haven, CT 06512.
