29 CFR 1910.147(c)(6)(i): The employer shall conduct a periodic inspection of the energy control procedure at least annually to ensure that the procedure and the requirements of this standard are being followed. Production Area - On or about July 19, 2017, in the facility, authorized employees were required to perform maintenance and/or service on various machinery including, but not limited to Ragsdale BodyMaker press. The employer did not ensure periodic inspections performed were certified for each authorized employee.

29 CFR 1910.147(d)(3): Machine or equipment isolation. All energy isolating devices that are needed to control the energy to the machine or equipment shall be physically located and operated in such a manner as to isolate the machine or equipment from the energy source(s). Front End Department - On or about July 10, 2017, employees were required to unjam short cans from the Ragsdale Body Maker #31 Press. The employer did not ensure that an energy isolating device was available to control all energy sources on the Ragsdale Body Maker #31 press. Employees were was thereby exposed to the hazards associated with rotating moving parts.
