29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:    On or about July 18, 2017, and at times prior thereto, employees were allowed to operate machines that were found not having guards provided, including but not limited to the following instances:     1) At the dual wheel assembly area, a chain-drive conveyor having in-going-nip points were not guarded.     2) In the maintenance shop, a horizontal band saw was found not having blade guard provided to protect employees from contacting the unused portion of the blade.    Employees were exposed to amputation and caught in hazards.
