29 CFR 1910.107(b)(5)(i): There were no visible gauges, audible alarms or pressure activated devices installed in paint spray booths to indicate or ensure that the required air speed was maintained.  a) Metropolitan Woodwork 5 Cornell Parkway, Springfield, NJ site - Manufacturing:  The gauges that were located on the DeVilbiss paint arrestor spray booths were not properly connected and did not indicate the face velocity of the spray booths.   Condition noted on or about 8/14/2017.

29 CFR 1910.215(a)(4): Work rest(s) on grinding machinery were not adjusted closely to the wheel with a maximum opening of one eighth inch:   a) Metropolitan Woodwork 5 Cornell Parkway, Springfield, NJ site - Manufacturing:  The work rest located on the BOSCH 6 in. pedestal bench grinder Model#: 1961 Serial #: 065, was adjusted at a distance greater than 1 inch from the diameter of the abrasive wheel. 29 CFR 1910.215(b)(9): Guard for abrasive wheel machine where the operator stands in front of the machine was not constructed so that the peripheral protecting member could be adjusted to the constantly decreasing diameter of the wheel:  a) Metropolitan Woodwork 5 Cornell Parkway, Springfield, NJ site - Manufacturing:  The BOSCH 6 in. pedestal bench grinder Model#: 1961 Serial #: 065, tongue guards were not adjusted to the decreasing diameter of the abrasive wheel, no more than 1/4inch.   Condition noted on or about 08/14/2017.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): The employer did not have a material safety data sheet for each hazardous chemical in use:  a) Metropolitan Woodwork 5 Cornell Parkway, Union, NJ site - Paint Room:  Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for hazardous chemicals such as but not limited to Lacquer Thinner, Formica Premium Spray Glue Contact Adhesive, and TiteBond Wood Glue.  Condition noted on or about 08/14/2017.  The Metropolitan Woodwork, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1188746, citation number 1,  item number 4c and was affirmed as a final order on 5/25/2017, with respect to a workplace located at 5 Cornell Parkway, Springfield, NJ 07081.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii):  The required working space about electric equipment rated 600 volts, nominal, or less to ground, was used for storage:   a) Metropolitan Woodwork 5 Cornell Parkway, Springfield, NJ site - Metal Shop:   Electrical panel boxes rated 480V/ 3 phase and 220V / single phase that control the main power to Delta machinery and the ventilation system  located in the  metal shop area were blocked by machinery and other stored materials.    Condition noted on or about 08/14/2017.
