29 CFR 1926.1101(f)(1)(i): Where exposure monitoring was required under 29 CFR 1926.1101, the employer did not perform monitoring to determine accurately the airborne concentrations of asbestos to which employees were or potentially were exposed: (a) Cimarron Engineering, Inc. dba Coffman & Company at 11919 W I-70 Frontage Road N #121, Wheat Ridge CO 80033: On and before July 28, 2017 the employer did not conduct air monitoring to determine exposure control requirements for asbestos. This condition potentially exposed HVAC field technicians to asbestos hazards without the proper controls in place.

29 CFR 1926.1101(k)(9)(vi): Training for employees performing Class IV operations did not include available information concerning the locations of thermal system insulation and surfacing asbestos containing material and/or presumed asbestos containing material, asbestos-containing flooring materials, or flooring material where the absence of asbestos has not yet been certified; and instruction in recognition of damage, deterioration, and delamination of asbestos containing building materials; and did not take at least 2 hours: (a) Cimarron Engineering, Inc. dba Coffman & Company at 11919 W I-70 Frontage Road N #121, Wheat Ridge CO 80033: On and before July 28, 2017 the employer did not provide Asbestos Awareness training for Class IV operations where employees have the potential to encounter asbestos containing materials while performing routine HVAC inspections for maintenance. This condition potentially exposed HVAC field technicians to asbestos hazards without the proper controls in place.
