29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels and 50-feet (15.25 m) wide or less, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  On or about July 27, 2017:  a) Employees for Aquino ATL Roofing, LLC were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 24 feet while installing flashing on a flat roof. The employer failed to put in place an effective means of fall protection for his employees.    In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer did not provide a training program for each employee potentially exposed to fall hazards to enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards:  On or about July 27, 2017:  a) The employer exposed employees to fall hazards of approximately 24 feet by failing to train employees in the ability to recognize, reduce or eliminate a fall hazard that they may encounter.  The employer attempted to implement a safety monitor system on a roof that was approximately 86 feet in width.      In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
