29 CFR 1910.22(d)(2): (2) Hazardous conditions on walking-working surfaces are corrected or repaired before an employee uses the walking-working surface again. If the correction or repair cannot be made immediately, the hazard must be guarded to prevent employees from using the walking-working surface until the hazard is corrected or repaired; and On or about July 28, 2017, at the jobsite located at 35040 W. 87th St., De Soto, Kansas; employee(s) walking/working in the HVAC room were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 10 feet to the lower level through an uncovered HVAC louver opening in the floor, measuring approximately 25 x 25 inches. A means of fall protection was not provided to prevent employee(s) from falling.
