This was most recently documented at 25201 E. 78 Hwy, Independence, Missouri. The company developed a lead styphnate Standard Operating Procedure, which does not address deviation from normal operating/manufacturing conditions at the beginning of the manufacturing process. Abort procedures only address shutdown after the addition of lead nitrate, the second of two ingredients added to the process. The SOP does not include a physical inspection of process equipment such as but not limited to the boats, to detect the presence of material such as magnesium styphnate, after aborting the process.
