29 CFR 1910.132(b): Where employees provide their own personal protective equipment, the employer did not assure its adequacy, including proper maintenance, and sanitation of such equipment: 200 Logistics Drive, Wentzville: Employer is exposing employees to hazardous conditions. The employees are required to provide their own safety shoes without the employer performing the required step of assuring the adequacy and sanitation of the safety shoes. On and about August 09, 2017 employees wore "safety toe shoes" which were not evaluated for their adequacy and maintenance.

The employees are exposed to struck by hazards where they are permitted to walk on unmarked aisles and passageways where material handling equipment, such as forklifts, is used. On and about August 9, 2017 employees were exposed to struck-by hazards where they were observed using an unmarked passageway where forklifts were in use.
