Exposure to acetic acid can cause skin burns and eye damage.

The techniques specified in the employers control procedures for locking out the Federal All Stainless Bottle Filler, serial number 2462, on the bottling line were generalized and unspecific. Not having appropriate specific energy control procedures exposes employees to hazards created from improperly locking out the machine.

Employees were engaged in a set up activity of the Federal All Stainless Bottle Filler, serial number 2462, on the bottling line that required lockout tag out. The employee was exposed to struck-by and caught by hazards while applying drain caps on the filler heads inside the machine.
