29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On or about August 14, 2017, employees were using a crane to hoist up a tree in a large container. The straps became tangled and an employee was told to climb up and untangle them. The employee climbed up the tree without any form of fall protection. The employee was exposed to fall hazards of greater than six feet to the ground below.

The employees were exposed to fall hazards of greater than six feet to the ground below.
