29 CFR 1926.404(b)(1)(i): The employer did not use either ground fault circuit interrupters (GFCI) or an assured grounding program as specified in paragraph (b)(1)(iii) of this section to protect employees on construction sites from electric shock hazard when using electric tools and equipment: a) Employees were exposed to electric shock when using the Hilti electric jackhammer without a Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter; tool was being used in damp conditions in the cellar during gut renovation of the 3 story building. Location: 628 Knickerbocker Ave, Brooklyn, N.Y. On or about 8/22/2017 NOTE: THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION FOR THIS ITEM IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
