29 CFR 1926.20(b)(2): The employer did not initiate and maintain programs which provided for frequent and regular inspections of the job site, materials and equipment to be made by a competent person(s) designated by the employer: On or about 8/17/17 at 255 Broadmoor Drive Braselton, GA; the employer exposed employees to fall hazards of 11-20 feet by failing to perform frequent and regular inspections to ensure hazards were identified and mitigated while subcontracted employees were engaging in framing, siding, and roofing activities. Unsafe operations including but were not limited to: a. Framers not connected while installing decking exposed to fall hazards of 11-feet to the lower level. b. Siding installers not connected exposed to falls of 15-feet to the lower level. c. Roofers installing shingles exposed to falls above 20-feet. Century Communities was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1926.20(b)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1135237, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/13/2016, with respect to a workplace located at 116 Shellbark Drive, McDonough, Georgia.
