OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm in that employees were exposed to struck-by/crushing type hazards from attempting to remove metal coils weighing in excess of 600 pounds off the rack post in the BPlate Room using a Ruger Crane with a web sling: (a) Worksite - BPlate Room: On or about 8/8/2017, the employer did not ensure that the method used for removing a metal coil off the rack post in the BPlate Room could be accomplished without employees being exposed to the metal coil falling and striking them.
