29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about August 22, 2017, at the construction site located at 2410 Koester Place, Lewis Center, Ohio, an employee was performing framing work on a roof of a two story residential home with a pitch of approximately 8 in 12 and approximately 20 feet in height with no fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard.
