29 CFR 1910.157(e)(3): Portable fire extinguishers were not subjected to an annual maintenance check. a) Facility, 254 Pike Street, Carbondale, PA - An Amerex ABC Multi-Purpose Stored Pressure Dry Chemical Extinguisher Model S9873 had not had an annual maintenance check since been inspected since 2012 exposing employees who choose to attempt to extinguish a fire with portable fire extinguishers to fire hazards, on or about August 24, 2017. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19, abatement certification is required for the violation.
