29 CFR 1926.701(b): All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall or come against, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: a) First Floor, East Lobby, Service Corridor - On or about August 24, 2017, masons working and walking in a hallway were exposed to an impalement hazard from 30 to 40 inch #4 rebar that projected out of the hallway floor and were not caped or otherwise covered and protected. In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
