29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about August 31, 2017, at the site located at 5815 - 5829 Passage Creek Drive, Dublin, Ohio, an employee was installing flashing around main vent pipes on the roof of a three story residential townhome building with a pitch of approximately 6 in 12 and approximately 30 feet in height without fall protection, thereby exposing the employee to a fall hazard.
