29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(ii): Point(s) of operation of machinery were not guarded to prevent employee(s) from having any part of their body in the danger zone(s) during operating cycle(s): On or about August 30, 2017, employees at R&R Textile Mills, Inc., were exposed to laceration and amputation hazards while cutting material on the following equipment: 1. The Eastman Lightning Fabric Cutter; 2. The iKonix Straight-Knife Cutting Machine. Neither machine had point of operation guarding which would prevent employees from having any part of their body in the danger zone during operation. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: On or about August 30, 2017, employees at R&R Textile Mills, Inc., were using chemicals such as, but not limited to, NDT Sour/Iron, NDT Bleach Plus and Power Jolt, in the laundry department. The employer did not develop, implement and maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program for these employees. Abatement documentation is required of this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
