29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): "Residential construction." Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. Exception: When the employer can demonstrate that it is infeasible or creates a greater hazard to use these systems, the employer shall develop and implement a fall protection plan which meets the requirements of paragraph (k) of 1926.502.  a. On or about September 6, 2017, located at Lot 1831 on 648 Viola Drive in Sunbury, Ohio, employees were building walls on the second floor without any means of fall protection, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard of approximately 12-14 feet.   b. On or about September 6, 2017, located at Lot 1831 on 648 Viola Drive in Sunbury, Ohio, employees were performing residential construction while there were two openings where stairs were going to be constructed, thereby exposing the employees to a fall hazard of  9 feet, 7 inches.

29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.  a. On or about September 6, 2017, located at Lot 1831 on 648 Viola Drive Sunbury, Ohio, employees were operating a pneumatic nail gun without the use of eye protection, thereby exposing the employees to an eye injury.   J.A.R Framing Services, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1247776, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 18, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 8699 Aconite Drive Blacklick, Ohio 43004.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(13): The top or top step of a stepladder shall not be used as a step.  a. On or about September 6, 2017, located at Lot 1831 at 648 Viola Drive in Sunbury, Ohio, employees used the top plate and top step to climb up and down an 8 foot Werner stepladder, thereby exposing the employees to a maximum fall distance of 8 feet.  J.A.R. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1247776, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on August 18, 2017, with respect to a workplace located at 8699 Aconite Drive Blacklick, Ohio 43004.
