29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1): Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c): At the 844 New Ballas Ct., Creve Coeur, MO construction site, a plumbing contracting employee was working in an unprotected trench, with vertical walls, approximately 3 ft. wide, over 6 ft. in depth during installation of a water pipe on 9-7-17. Kelpe Contracting Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this Occupational Safety and Health Standard, 29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 976506, Citation 1, item 2, issued on 5/16/17, and became a final order on 6/3/14.
