OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which was free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: a) Global Metal Powders, LLC. On or about September 8, 2017, employees were potentially exposed to fire and explosion hazards from a dust collector that was not equipped with devices and systems to prevent the propagation of explosions and associated flame fronts from the dust collector through the associated dust collection system ductwork. The dust collector collected combustible dust from materials including, but not limited to, chromium powder and other powdered metals.
