29 CFR 1926.960(b)(1)(ii): Only qualified employees may work in areas containing unguarded, uninsulated energized lines or parts of equipment operating at 50 volts or more. Michels Corporation project site located at the intersection of Birchtree Rd. and Hideaway Dr., Eagle River, WI: On and about September 6, 2017, an Apprentice Lineman who was not qualified by the employer was exposed to electric shock hazards when he was directed to work from a boom truck to install a riser conductor on a new utility pole near an unguarded and uninsulated live 14.4 kV power line.
