29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: On 9/11/17 at a worksite located at 332 S. Elmwood Avenue Buffalo, NY : An employee was sitting on the roof parapet wall with one of his legs hanging down completely on the outside of the building while using a long handled paint roller to paint the building exterior. The employee was exposed to a fall of approx. 28 ft. No fall protection system was utilized. NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
