OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to struck by hazards: a) Worksite was located at 1 Georgian Court, East Hanover, NJ 07936. Employees were exposed to struck by hazards as a Bobcat Compact Skid Steer Loader Model 773 was being operated in close proximity to pedestrian workers on foot with no back up alarm and no spotter to ensure backing in proximity to these workers was safe. Violation occurred on or about September 15th, 2017. b) Worksite was located at 1 Georgian Court, East Hanover, NJ 07936. Employees were exposed to struck by hazards as a Bobcat Compact Skid Steer Loader Model 773 was being operated in close proximity to pedestrian workers on foot by an operator who was not formally trained to operate the machine. Violation occurred on or about September 15th, 2017.
