29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system:  (a) Construction site - On or about September 20, 2017, where the employer elected to use roof anchors and life lines as means of fall protection for employees replacing standing seam metal roof, an employee stood at roof edge to receive roofing sheet without fall protection.  (b) Construction site - On or about September 20, 2017, where the employer elected to use roof anchors and life lines as means of fall protection for employees replacing standing seam metal roof, when the employees were instructed to exit the roof by management during the inspection, two of three employees that were tied off standing at the peak of the roof, disconnected from the life lines at mid-point of roof and walked down the roof to ladder without fall protection.
