Condition observed on or about 10/03/17. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

Condition observed on or about 10/03/17. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. 29 CFR 1926.201(a): All traffic control signs and devices used for protection of the workers did not conform to Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) 1988 Edition, Revision 3, Section 6E-6 (Flagger Stations): a)Both Travelled Ways Of The Two Lane Herrontown Road, Princeton NJ: Employees performing tree removal, tree chipping and other related activities, from one lane of a two lane roadway, were exposed to struck by hazards when performing flagging operations where no indication of a flagging operation had been given along any of the travelled roadways leading to the worksite. As such the employer did not follow the mandatory procedures and guidance stated in section 6E-6 of the Manual. Condition observed on or about 10/03/17. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.

29 CFR 1926.201(a): All traffic control signs and devices used for protection of the workers did not conform to Part VI of the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) 1988 Edition, Revision 3, Section 6E-5 (Hand Signaling Procedures): a)Both Travelled Ways Of The Two Lane Herrontown Road, Princeton NJ: Employees performing tree removal, tree chipping and other related activities, from one lane of a two lane roadway, were exposed to struck by hazards when either standing in the travelled way to stop and redirect traffic or by standing sideways to wave the traffic through the open lane of the work area. These employees were performing the flagging operation using only their hands. As such the employer did not follow the mandatory procedures and guidance stated in section 6E-5 of the Manual. Condition observed on or about 10/03/17. NOTE: IN ADDITION TO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION, THE EMPLOYER IS REQUIRED TO SUBMIT ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION FOR THIS ITEM. FAILURE TO COMPLY WILL RESULT IN AN ADDITIONAL PENALTY OF $1000.00 IN ACCORDANCE WITH 29 CFR 1903.19.
