29 CFR 1926.602(c)(1)(vi): Industrial truck(s) in use did not meet the applicable requirements of design, construction, stability, inspection, testing, maintenance, and operation, as defined in American National Standards Institute B56.1-1969, Safety Standards for Powered Industrial Trucks. At a commercial construction jobsite, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards. The operator left the JLG 6042 platform elevated and unattended.

29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems. At a commercial construction site, six employees removing and installing roof decking were not protected from a fall hazard of approximately 24 feet to the ground below. M2 Steel Systems was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 974556, citation number 1 , item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on September 10, 2014 with a final abatement date of September 12, 2014 , with respect to a workplace located at 701 N. Esplanade Street, Cuero, TX 77954.
