29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employee(s) to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands were exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasion; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes. (a) Leverwood Machine Works, Incorporated - The employer did not require the use of hand protection for the employees exposed to chemical burns from the AccuCool 1975 synthetic cutting fluid which contained 1-Amino-2-propanol. The employees had skin contact with the coolant while operating the Gockel grinding machines, on or about October 11, 2017. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR 1910.1020(g)(1)(i): Upon first entering into employment, and/or at least annually thereafter, the employer did not inform current employees of the existence, location, and availability of any records covered by 29 CFR 1910.1020: (a) Leverwood Machine Works, Incorporated - The employer did not inform the employees upon hire nor annually of the existence, location, and availability of the July 14, 2008 oil mist and particulates not elsewhere regulated (PNOR) sampling conducted by Point 1 solutions, on or about October 11, 2017. Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
