29 CFR 1910.28(b)(1)(i): The employer did not ensure that each employee on a walking-working surface with an unprotected side or edge that was 4 feet (1.2 m) or more above a lower level was protected from falling by one or more of the following: Guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) On or about 10/11/2017 - 3346 Morgan Drive, Vestavia Hills, AL, employee(s) installing Christmas lights on the roof of a building were not protected from falling approximately 16 feet to the ground below. Lights of Christmas, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.23(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 682639, citation number 1, item number 1a and was affirmed as a final order on 12/21/2012 with respect to a workplace located at 5363 Highway 280, Birmingham, AL 35242.
