29 CFR 1926.1052(c)(1)(i): Stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were not equipped with at least one handrail: (a)Scull Construction Services, Inc. @ 1770 Tablerock, Rapid City, SD 57702: On and before October 8, 2017, the controlling employer did not ensure that stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were equipped with one handrail. The east stair well had runs of 10 risers and were not equipped with a handrail system. The condition exposed employees and subcontractor employees to a fall hazard while attempting to use the stairs. (b)Scull Construction Services, Inc. LLC @ 1770 Tablerock, Rapid City, SD 57702: On and before October 8, 2017, the controlling employer did not ensure that stairways having four or more risers or rising more than 30 inches (76 cm), whichever is less, were equipped with one handrail.
