Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system unless another provision in paragraph (b) of this section provides for an alternative fall protection measure. a. On or about October 16, 2017, at the site located at 5380 Booker Drive, Westerville, Ohio, employees were performing roofing work on two story residential home with a pitch of approximately 6 in 12 and up to approximately 10 feet in height without being protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system.
