29 CFR 1910.23(c)(9): Portable ladders used on slippery surfaces were not secured and stabilized. a) On or about 08/21/17 at 750 St. Paul Street, Rochester, NY; an employee placed a 12 foot stepladder on a wet slippery surface, unsecured, to remove overhead piping while using a saw-all. The vibration of the saw coupled with the saw jamming caused them to lose their balance resulting in the ladder kicking out, the employee falling and sustaining broken ribs. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
