A free fall may be more than 6 feet (1.8 m) provided the employer can demonstrate the manufacturer designed the system to allow a free fall of more than 6 feet and tested the system to ensure a maximum arresting force of 1,800 pounds (8 kN) is not exceeded.     a) Anodizing Plant, Dip Tanks: On or about 10/14/2017 and at times prior, employees were exposed to fall hazards that would allow them to contact the concrete floor 4ft. 1 in. below the sides of the dip tank and/or fall into the dip tanks during either the acid etching process or caustic soda etching process.
