29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2): The employer did not verify that the required workplace hazard assessment has been performed through a written certification which included the requirements as outlined in 29 CFR 1910.132(d)(2): Maintenance/Engineering/Housekeeping Departments: The employer has provided employees with personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, boots, negative pressure respirators, and protective eye and face wear to be worn when performing maintenance and housekeeping duties such as mixing and using cleaning products and adding pool chemicals. The use of PPE is a job requirement. A written hazard assessment has not been performed to include the following elements: 1. Select and have each affected employee use the types of PPE that will protect them from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment; 2. Communicate the selection decisions to each affected employee and; 3. Select PPE that properly fits each affected employee.
