Truman Road, Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to serious respiratory hazards. Employees assigned to mix "Spec Mix" Portland lime and cement mortar were required to wear a half-mask elastomeric respirator without a respiratory protection program, including medical evaluation, fit testing, and training.

Truman Road, Kansas City, Missouri: Employees were exposed to chemical hazards from contact with corrosive and other chemicals. The employer did not maintain a written hazard communication program at the worksite. Employees were using chemicals including, but not limited to "Spec Mix" Portland lime and cement mortar and gasoline.

29 CFR 1926.1153(c)(1): For each employee engaged in a task identified on Table 1, the employer shall fully and properly implement the engineering controls, work practices, and respiratory protection specified for the task on Table 1, unless the employer assesses and limits the exposure of the employee to respirable crystalline silica in accordance with paragraph (d) of this section. At a jobsite located at 4511 E. Truman Road, Kansas City, Missouri: employees were exposed to serious respiratory hazards. Employees used a Stihl TS 420 Cutquik cut-off machine to cut bricks. The engineering controls, work practices and respiratory protection specified on Table 1 were not implemented.
