29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems; a) On or about November 8, 2017, the employer failed to ensure that employees working from the roof of the building being constructed were protected from falling to the ground below. Employees were not provided with personal fall arrest systems or any other fall protection devices such as but not limited to guardrails and safety nets. b) On or about November 8, 2017, the employer failed to ensure that employees working from the front awning/ overhang of the building being constructed were protected from falling to the ground below. Employees were not provided with personal fall arrest systems or any other fall protection devices such as but not limited to guardrails and safety nets.
