29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: (a) Wire Processing Area: On or about November 2, 2017 and times prior, employees will separate paper from wire while standing and leaning towards a conveyor that has an unguarded roller that is approximately 26 inches off the ground and approximately 6 inches from the frame. (b) Wire Processing Area: On or about November 2, 2017 an employee was cleaning paper and wire from under an overhead conveyor that had an unguarded roller approximately 6 feet 7 inches above the walkway.
