29 CFR 1926.95(a): Protective shields and barriers were not provided, used, or maintained where necessary by reason of hazards of processes or environment causing injury or impairment in the function of any part of the body through physical contact. A.) Kirila Contractors, Inc., 135 East 38th Street, Erie, PA, east side of project near roadway, on or about November 16, 2017 and times prior thereto: The company installed a snow fence with rebar for perimeter security around an open trench excavation. The rebar was not protected by caps to prevent employee contact with the rebar.
