29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on flat roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, warning line system, or a safety monitoring system. a) Jobsite: The employer did not ensure that employees performing roofing repair operations were protected from falls from the edge of the building by a fall protection system; thus exposing employees to a fall hazards. This condition was observed on/about 17 NOV 2017.

29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards: a) Jobsite: The employer did not provide adequate training for employees to recognize and mitigate fall hazards on the jobsite. Employees working on the roof of the building did not have fall protection training thus exposing them to fall hazards while working approximately 60 feet from the ground. This condition was noted on/about 17 NOV 2017.
