29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about November 14, 2017, the employer did not provide guarding on the pour line scrap plastic roller machine where ingoing nip point(s) and rotating part(s) exposed employees to fracture, laceration at and near the roller. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
