29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on flat roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, warning line system, or a safety monitoring system.    a) Jobsite: The employer did not ensure that employees performing roofing repair operations were protected from falls from the edge of the building by a fall protection system; thus exposing employees to a fall hazards of approximately 6 stories to the ground.      This condition was observed on/about 17 NOV 2017.

29 CFR 1926.1053(b)(4): Ladders shall be used only for the purpose for which they were designed.    a) Jobsite: An employee performing roofing repair operations was standing on an A-frame ladder in the closed position thus exposing the employee to a fall hazard. The ladder was designed to be used in the open position.     This condition was observed on or about 17 NOV 2017.
