OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees operating a trash compactor were exposed to crushing hazards.    a) For the facility, as occurring on or about 11/17/2017, employees operating a trash compactor were exposed to hand crushing hazards from the hydraulic door clamping mechanism. Employees stood in the area where the hydraulic clamp was located to hold the door shut. This condition exposed them to hand crushing hazards. Employees and management had not been trained on how to operate the compactor safely or seen the operators' manual for the compactor. Management who supervised the employees were not trained on the operators' manual for the compactor and were not able to recognize hazards associated with the compactor's operation.
