29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical: a) Johnson Control, Inc. (dba Johnson Controls Battery Group, Inc.) located at 10300 Industrial Street in Holland, Ohio; On or about November 7, 2017 the employer did not ensure the sulfuric acid storage tank located on approximately the third floor was labeled with the product identifier, and words, pictures, or combination thereof regarding the hazards of the chemicals present. Employees were exposed to hazards associated with contact with 30-51% sulfuric acid such as, but not limited to, chemical burns, difficulty breathing, and possible blindness.

29 CFR 1904.40(a): The employer did not provide an authorized government representative the records within the four business hours: a) Johnson Control, Inc. (dba Johnson Controls Battery Group, Inc.) located at 10300 Industrial Street in Holland, Ohio; On or about December 7, 2017 the employer did not provide the representative of the Department of Labor, OSHA 300 Injury Logs for years, 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 (year-to-date). A formal request was sent to a company representative on November 30, 2017 requesting records kept under CFR Part 1904.
